Lithotripsy Laser

1. An EKG is required for patients 50 years and older. The EKG must be read by a medical doctor and submitted well ahead of surgery date to allow for any consultations, if necessary. Please note:  EKG must be less than 6 months old on day of surgery. Otherwise a new one will need to be produced and then read and signed by that physician, prior to the reversal surgery.

2. Shower with antibacterial soap the night before and morning of surgery.

3. Don’t eat or drink after midnight the night before surgery.

4. Obtain supporter to wear post-op. Proper fit depends on waist size. We recommend “Bike” or "Champion" support briefs (available at Sports Authority or order online).

5. If you plan to use your credit/debit card, be sure to check your availability with the bank to be sure your card will be accepted.

6. Remember to bring prescription cards for use at the pharmacy for post-op medications.

7. No aspirin products should be taken for at least 3 weeks prior to surgery.

8. There are NO restrictions on sexual activity pre-op.
